The MAAF CSE portal is built on a shared architecture used by the Covéa Group’s platforms for its various entities (MAAF, MMA, GMF). This technical pooling has a direct impact on navigation, access rights and the range of benefits visible to each employee.
Covéa CSE portal architecture and MAAF affiliation
The CSEE (Establishment Social and Economic Committee) an MAAF employee belongs to determines all the benefits displayed in the portal. Employees based at one location have access to a different range of benefits from those shown to employees at another site.
This site-based segmentation means that a benefit visible to a colleague may not appear in your own account. Before contacting support, check that you are signed in to the CSEE for your site, rather than a generic Covéa portal.
Sign-in requires a CSE-specific username, different from the credentials used for the MAAF policyholder customer account (maaf.fr/fr/espace-client). Confusing the two is the most commonly reported cause of access issues. The MAAF CSE customer account page explains how to sign in and how it differs from the policyholder account.

MAAF CSE benefits: what the committee covers and what it doesn’t
Covéa Group job listings refer to a broad range of benefits: holidays, accommodation rentals, ticketing, and sports and cultural activities. These benefits are funded by the CSE’s social and cultural activities budget. They are separate from benefits linked to the employment contract (profit-sharing, employee savings plans, and preferential rates on car or home insurance policies).
Preferential rates on MAAF policies are not accessed through the CSE portal. They are part of the group’s commercial policy and are available directly through the policyholder account or at a branch. Using the wrong channel can lead to misdirected requests and unnecessary delays.
Typical CSE benefits available online
- Discounted tickets (cinemas, theme parks, shows), with online ordering and e-tickets sent through the employee’s CSEE portal
- Holiday grants and seasonal accommodation rentals, subject to a cap that varies according to household income or criteria set by the committee’s elected representatives
- Contributions towards sports or cultural activities, often reimbursed upon presentation of proof of payment, with a dedicated form in the online account
- Everyday support services (gift vouchers, back-to-school assistance), with a catalogue that changes each year based on the CSE’s budget decisions
The catalogue shown in the portal reflects the elected representatives’ decisions for the current financial year. A benefit offered the previous year may be removed without notice if the budget has been reallocated. The CSE’s internal rules, available online, are the authoritative reference.
Managing access and resolving MAAF CSE sign-in issues
First-time sign-in generally requires activation via a work email address. Employees moving between Covéa entities often encounter account migration issues: their former CSEE account remains active while the new one has not yet set up their profile.
If you forget your password, the reset process is specific to the CSE portal and does not go through maaf.fr. Contact the CSEE’s elected representatives for support, not MAAF customer service. This distinction avoids being passed between departments that do not share the same databases.
What to check before contacting support
- Confirm that you are using your Covéa work email address, not a personal address linked to your policyholder account
- Check which CSEE you currently belong to, especially after a change of location or legal entity
- Make sure your browser accepts cookies from the CSE portal domain, as restrictive settings can block SSO authentication

Eligibility for MAAF CSE benefits: permanent, fixed-term and other employees
CSE benefits are not limited to permanent employees. The French Labour Code requires that all employees of a company be able to benefit from social and cultural activities, regardless of their contract type. In practice, fixed-term employees and apprentices have the same rights as permanent employees when it comes to social and cultural activities.
Any minimum service requirements are set out in the CSE’s rules, not in general employment law. The committee’s internal rules are the sole authority on this matter.
Eligible family members (spouses and children) may benefit from certain services (family tickets, back-to-school assistance), but the portal does not give them personal accounts. Employees submit requests through their own account and provide details of their household when they first use the service.
The distinction between the different channels—the CSE portal for social activities, the maaf.fr policyholder account for insurance policies, and Santéclair for the healthcare provider network—is key. Each need has its own dedicated portal, and none brings together all the benefits. Keeping this in mind helps avoid most of the frustration caused by navigating between Covéa Group services.
